Report: Russia’s deficit in IT specialists counts 1 mln people
MOSCOW, Dec 29 (PRIME) – Russia lacks 1 million IT specialists, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said on Wednesday in a broadcast of TV channel Rossiya 24.
“We develop our IT industry actively…and it results in significant demand for specialists, programmers, data scientists, and all sorts of such specialties, and according to different calculations, deficit stands at about 1 million specialists,” Chernyshenko said.
A federal project was prepared to teach talented schoolchildren and students new digital professions, he said.
